From Booklist Very little of the information in this history of Native American participation in the Civil War is wholly news, and some--such as that Grant's aide, Eli Parker, was an Iroquois chief and that Cherokees under Stand Watie fought for the Confederacy--is known to most well-read Civil War enthusiasts. Gazebos and outdoor sitting areas was mainly the reason I bought this book, However the Pergola was an old idea that really caught my attention. My girlfriend hates it and made me take it down. colorful illustrations will captivate little boys (and certainly some little girls too!) and, quite frankly, a lot of dads will find this a VERY COOL BOOK!. Very interesting reading. Some have said it reminds them of an historical fantasy. Flesh that part out more, in my view. People you thought you could trust, and you never should have. I am adding this volume to my permanent professional library, and I am sure I will return to it time and time again..
