As his physical condition deteriorates, the quality of his clients drops and the bars he frequents go from moodily lit, to dimly lit to unlit. For example, the book avoids subjects such as adjusting the jets on the carburetors, refering the user to a qualified mechanic, yet it covers such topics as replacing the transmission gears! The reason I stopped short of 5 stars is because it is sometimes difficult to find your desired topic, as some things are covered twice, but to a different degree, which can cause confusion at first. But to me the graphic sexual encounters were part of the point. For me personally, I could relate to the story well because it brought up memories and emotions from my own marriage breakup and also when my father left when I was a six year old child. It's a moving personal account of a long term victim of this tradgedy in which 95 students and teachers perished.
