to the Third Edition Following the success of the first two editions of this book in which the core subject matter has been retained, we have taken the opportunity to add substantial new material, including an additional chapter on that most important activity of the chemical industry, research and development. The latter's different approach to the subject matter is reflected in the new titles: Organisational Structures - A Story of Evolution (chapter 5) and Environmental Impact of the Chemical Industry (chapter 9). Topical items such as quality, safety and environmental issues also receive enhanced coverage. We hope readers find the brief 'pen pictures' of authors to be interesting. We have updated statistics and tables wherever possible and expanded the index. The chapter on Energy retains its original title but different approach of the new authors is evident. It is worth stressing again that this book is designed to be used with its companion volume - The Chemical Industry, 2nd Edition, ed. Alan Heaton (referred to as Volume 2) - for a complete introduction to the chemical industry. The team of authors for this edition comprises both those revising and updating their chapters and some new ones. Thanks are due to all contributors and to my wife Joy for typing my contributions.

And while many books are rife with grammatical errors and the like, this one seemed to be well edited. I loved every moment I was able to be inside this family's blue bungalow. It is always very popular, so I purchased The Return of the Library Dragon to read to my fifth graders. The only thing I didn't like was that many of the Bible references were left out and it has made it tougher to use as a study guide.HOWEVER, it was done this way to follow the "idiot's approach" to learning so as not to complicate the writing style. This book quickly zeroes in on what the attorney or a prisoner or its family needs to know. “How to Leave Prison Early”: the content and purpose of the book is very simply summarized by its title. I'd highly recommend purchasing this book, very creative book to read to your kids, niece and/or nephew.. Based upon the review by M.E. Prior to reading this we had already started a gluten free casein free diet (based on the advice from the new book) and noticed dramatic improvements. It would be improved by listing all the examples in the book. Bottom line, there is potential here, but he goes 80% of the way when he could have gone much further to make this a better read.. My kids are older now (and certainly read above the 3rd Grade level) but they snatched these up the moment they saw them.The book covers several jobs that involve poop (and what kid isn't fascinated
