A shame, I would have thought I'd be able to identify with the character more since we seem to be the same age and I grew up in the same area he did (I had to smile despite myself when he mentioned the 10/60/57 freeway junction) and obviously we both love Black Sabbath more than life itself. Any questions that we had were answered with thoughtfullness and sincere concern. Then I will learn how to work to unblock them and live better. Why? Why did so many American Indians put their lives on the line for a battle between two factions of whites? Unfortunately Hauptman devotes little time to this part of the issue, simply stating over and over that the Indians saw this as a way to ward off even further dislocation and perhaps as "a bargaining chip" with their conquerors. Daniel Scott tells these stories in a standard issue working-class shtick, using simple declarative sentences, the smug irony of none-too-bright narrators, and the catalog of dirty realistic detail found in doublewides. The low price makes it affordable to the more experienced marketer.But, if you're a very savvy marketing maven, this book is probably too elementary for you.As with all things Internet related, there's nothing new in the 'Online' chapter of the book.
