If you don't care to know that much, the descriptions of most sites and the reasons they rate a spot in this book are easily understood without much background. While this statement is certainly true, and the chief reason that the 2nd generation enterprise systems platform will be the game changer that 1st generation ERP was not, it will require a range of IT and Business linkages that typically do not yet exist.
